Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Department/Section/Location:
A Major Construction Company in the Carribean has a programme of rapid expansion into the Caribbean. As a result 2 Quantity Surveyors or Measurement Engineers are required. 1 role will be based in Antigua and 1 in Nassau Bahamas.
Main purposes of Job:
To ensure accurate valuations are undertaken for project works and that the full entitlements to additional items are achieved. To ensure Sub Contractor arrangements are properly organised and that accurate payments are maintained.
Key Results/Objectives:
Maximisation of Revenue on Projects.
Control of Sub Contract Costs on Projects.
Reason for Recruitment:
Expansion into new Areas across the Caribbean.
Reporting to:
Project Site/Manager, with a functional report to Commercial Manager.
Qualifications:
Degree in either Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Skills/Competencies:
Works Autonomously.
Very flexible to change.
Focussed on costs and commercial control.
Experience Required:
Between 2 and 10 years field experience as a site Measurement Engineer or QS.
Worked on Civil Engineering Projects of values between $10m and $100m.
Special Attributes:
System and process orientated, computer literate.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good at building relationships with the Client, internal team and supply chain.
